Manhattan Life Insurance Building

The Manhattan Life Insurance Building was one of the oldest skyscrapers. The building, which rose to 348 ft (106.1 m), was finished in 1894 and had a small expansion in 1904.

Located in Manhattan in New York City, the building was demolished in 1930 to make way for the One Wall Street Irving Trust Bank Headquarters Building. Coordinates: 40°42′28″N 74°00′42″W / 40.70778°N 74.01167°W / 40.70778; -74.01167 . It was the first skyscraper to pass the 100 m mark.
